Create strong, functional, production-ready metal parts with the Markforged additive manufacturing platform.

A long term partnership:

  • Additive-X is proud to be a long-term collaborator of Markforged, a company known for redefining manufacturing through innovative additive technology.
  • Markforged offers a comprehensive range of printers, materials, and the Digital Forge platform.
  • Leverage Additive-X’s expertise to harness the complete capabilities of Markforged technology.
  • We are here to help you maximize the possibilities offered by their pioneering printers.

Industry-leading printers

  • The flagship printer, the FX20, is capable of printing ULTEM™ 9085 with continuous fibre reinforcement.
  • The FX20 is designed for demanding industries like Automotive, Aerospace, and Oil and Gas, and produces high-strength parts.
  • The range of printers includes the Desktop Series (Mark Two, Onyx Pro, Onyx One) and the Industrial Series (FX20, X7, X3).
  • Committed to delivering industrial-level reliability and consistency, their smart and scalable additive manufacturing platform seamlessly integrates into any operation.

Industrial-grade production

  • Industrial-grade composite 3D printers with proprietary base filament Onyx, made of micro carbon fibre-filled nylon.
  • Prints can be reinforced with continuous strands of composite materials like Continuous Carbon Fibre, High-Temp Fiberglass, Fibreglass, Kevlar, etc.
  • Their printers are capable of creating super-strong prototypes and end-use parts – often stronger than standard metal parts.
  • The Metal X System enables the manufacturing of metal parts with complex geometries and details, using closed-cell infill geometry and a ceramic release layer.
  • Post-processing options include the Wash 1 for removing plastic binding and ceramic supports, and Sinter 1 or Sinter 2 for sintering in a furnace to remove the remaining materials, leaving a pure metal part.

Multifunctional software to match

  • Cloud Eiger™ software is included with every Markforged printer, providing a user-friendly experience and digital part repository.
  • The X7 printer can be integrated with Blacksmith™, Markforged’s advanced software solution that improves the printing experience with AI technology.
  • Blacksmith™ provides real-time scanning and measuring of dimensional accuracy during the printing process, automatically comparing the measured data with design files.
  • Markforged prioritises data security, offering Multi-Factor authorization and ISO27001 certification for data and part files protection. This ensures the security and confidentiality of data, and supports innovation in additive manufacturing.
