The Lynxter S300x 3D printer.

Lynxter S300X Release: Next Level Silicone Printing Is Here

Lynxter has unveiled the S300X, a state-of-the-art 3D printer for elastomers, including medical and industrial-grade silicones.

The Lynxter S300X can effortlessly produce some of the most intricate custom-printed medical and industrial-grade silicones and polyurethanes.

It achieves this feat with an IDEX (Independent Dual Extruder) with two tool heads – LIQ21 for dual-component printing and LIQ11 for printing water-soluble support structures.

This configuration enables design freedom in challenging overhang positions and multi-material or multi-colour 3D printing without cross-contamination.

So what?

So many similar 3D printers get released each year that it’s easy to get disillusioned by the same technology in a different box.

The Lynxter S300X is no such printer, offering the unique ability to extrude and 3D print liquid silicone.

The Lynxter S300X is a complete additive manufacturing tool for silicone, able to replace moulding, compression moulding, and casting in many applications.

Regular 3D printers are incompatible with the viscosity of silicone, which in liquid form pours out of a standard nozzle like warm milk.

Materials and capabilities

The Lynxter S300X has a filtered, heated, and soundproofed build chamber and large-capacity cartridges that enable the autonomous printing of large parts or multiple smaller ones, reducing the need for manual intervention.

Filtration is handled by a dual HEPA H14 filter and an activated carbon filter, ensuring that vented air is free from harmful particulates.

The build volume is X 300 mm x Y 250 mm x Z 200 mm, and you can print at layer heights of 100 μm to >1 mm to suit your requirements.

The Lynxter S300X prints the following materials:

  • RTV2 medical Silicones (5,10, 25, 40 ShA).
  • RTV2 industrial Silicones (45 ShA).
  • Polyurethane material (from 50 to 85 ShA).

The LIQ-11 single-component tool head and the LIQ-21 two-component tool head equipped with the S300X printer usher in new possibilities for silicone 3D printing.

Powered by IDEX technology, complex objects can be built at an accelerated rate with soluble supports. Various material combinations can be used to produce 3D parts with a range of properties in a single printing process.

Lynxter has also introduced the HUB, a web-based platform that puts convenience and efficiency first with quick and easy print profiles, a helpful library of instructional videos, and a comprehensive catalogue of products.

Who is the Lynxter S300X for?

The Lynxter S300X is a perfect manufacturing ecosystem for small to medium-series production in industries that require medical and industrial-grade silicone printing, including aeronautics, engineering, and design-related applications.

It is perfect for reducing costs and increasing production by quickly and easily manufacturing custom silicone parts. It is also well-suited for diversifying silicone capabilities and moving away from moulding.
