Why Choose Fuse Blast?

Fuse Blast is your go-to solution for efficiently post-processing SLS 3D-printed parts. This easy-to-use, fully automated cleaning and polishing system seamlessly integrates into the Fuse Series ecosystem, streamlining your post-processing workflow and making it a valuable addition to your production environment.

One of the standout features of Fuse Blast is its ability to clean an entire build chamber of printed parts in as little as 15 minutes, significantly reducing labour time and cost. This time-saving capability enables faster turnaround times and more productive post-processing workflows.

Fuse Blast simplifies and accelerates the post-processing of SLS 3D-printed parts, making it an efficient and cost-effective choice for professionals looking to streamline their operations and increase productivity.

FUSE Blast Routines

Finished Parts in 15 Minutes

Automated routines can post-process an entire build chamber in as little as 15 minutes. Passive filtering helps reduce media saturation and extend media lifespan, cutting overhead costs while maintaining consistent cleaning performance.

Consistent Results

Pre-programmed settings ensure repeatable, high-quality results every time, while manual mode allows operators to fine-tune settings for specific part geometries and requirements.

Professional Quality

Enjoy clean-to-the-touch parts with an in-line ionizer that prevents dust and media from re-settling on finished components. Fuse Blast delivers professional-quality results while significantly reducing the manual effort associated with traditional post-processing methods.

Streamlined Post-Processing

Fuse Blast integrates smoothly with the Fuse ecosystem, automating post-processing to reduce labour time by up to 80%. By simplifying cleaning and finishing operations, teams can focus more time on production and less time on manual post-processing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I post-process my parts with the Fuse Blast only, without the Fuse Sift?

Fuse Blast simplifies part cleaning, even without prior depowdering, reducing Fuse Sift processing time to approximately 5–10 minutes. While not mandatory, Fuse Sift plays a crucial role in the Fuse ecosystem for powder recovery and management.

For the most efficient workflow, Formlabs recommends using Fuse Sift and Fuse Blast together to streamline both powder management and part cleaning. Lower-volume users may alternatively use the Fuse Depowdering Kit before media blasting.

How much labour is involved in operating a Fuse Blast?

Fuse Blast streamlines part cleaning and polishing through automated workflows, significantly reducing the need for manual labour compared to traditional SLS post-processing methods. Most cleaning and finishing tasks can be completed with minimal operator intervention, helping reduce labour costs while improving consistency.

DELIVERY BY ADDITIVE-X

BOXES SHIP VIA DPD

Order by 4.30pm Monday to Friday (excl Bank Holidays) and Additive-X will ship your order via DPD the same day. DPD will deliver on working days only.

Shipping to Ireland (Northern or Republic of) is a “DAP” service which means you have to pay any Duty and Taxes. Business customers must email us their EORI and UKIMS numbers.

PALLETS DON'T SHIP VIA DPD - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Some units can only be shipped safely on a pallet due to weight and/or size.  Cut off time for orders shipping by pallet is 1.30pm, that’s because we need to book the job before 2pm.

Pallets are big and they ship on big lorries!  If there is any problem with a dustbin-lorry size vehicle accessing your property, you need to let us know and we can request delivery by a smaller 7.5T lorry.  If this is the case, then PALLET NEXT DAY may not be available.

Depending on your postcode your options at checkout will include PALLET NEXT DAY, PALLET 2-3 DAYS, PALLET COLLECTION HG4 2RN (organise your own pick-up).  Some postcodes will show “PALLET 5-6 DAYS” etc.
Pallet deliveries are between 09.00 and 17.00 and we are unable to give you the ETA in advance.

We use a very reliable local supplier, and the pallets go in to the “Palletforce” network.  Currently the network don’t use tracking numbers and you can't track online (coming in 2026).  Call or email us to check on a delivery or collection.
