Form Studio 1 is the first affordable, professional-grade resin 3D printer, starting from £549 ex VAT. If you’ve only printed with filament so far, it’s an easy way into resin without paying a premium for it. You get a powerful, long-lasting print engine and the quality and attention to detail Formlabs do better than anyone else, at a price that makes sense. The build platform in the box is the Build Platform Flex.

Fast, Sharp and Reliable

Most parts print in under two hours, and with Alpha Fast Resin you can reach up to 130 mm/h. A 35 micron pixel size and layer heights from 25 to 300 microns deliver razor-sharp detail, from small functional parts to fine models. With a 98% print success rate, you spend your time using parts rather than reprinting them.

Clean, Open and Easy to Run

Resin printing doesn’t have to be messy or smelly. Resin moves from the cartridge into the tank automatically, so there’s no pouring or measuring, and the printer heats it to the right temperature before each print starts. Paired with Alpha Resins and the VOC Extractor, Form Studio 1 is the first and only resin printer with UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions.

Open Material Mode is included as standard, so you’re not limited to Formlabs resins (pair it with the Resin Tank Pro to use it). Prepare your print in PreForm with one-click printing, send it over Wi-Fi, Ethernet or USB, and start it from the touchscreen. The built-in camera lets you check progress and capture timelapses from the Formlabs app.
