Beyond filament, resin or powder, most 3D printers need other consumable items such as build plates, nozzles, print beds, resin tanks, mixers, cleaning solutions and filters. Additive-X stocks genuine consumables and spares for all the brands it supplies.

A standard brass nozzle typically lasts 100 to 300 hours of printing before wear affects accuracy, though abrasive materials such as carbon fibre filament wear it out faster. Hardened steel nozzles last considerably longer with abrasive composites.

Many printers accept third-party materials, but using approved consumables protects your warranty and helps ensure consistent print quality. Additive-X can advise which materials are certified for your specific machine.

Filament should be kept in a cool, dry, airtight container with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption, and resin should be stored away from direct sunlight at a stable room temperature. Poor storage is one of the most common causes of print failures.
