Markforged Fibreglass Filament

Markforged Fibreglass CFF filament is the most cost-effective composite filament in the Markforged range, making it the ideal material for prototypes. It’s as strong as Carbon Fibre, but 40 percent stiffer and twice the weight. As a result, it’s also suitable for end-use parts, especially applications that require plenty of strength on a budget. It is for this reason that many of the performance parts on mid-range sports cars are made from fibreglass.

It's printed with the specially designed Continuous Filament Fabrication nozzle that works alongside the nylon-printing FFF nozzle. Nylon parts are embedded with continuous stands of Fibreglass filament and this gives parts their strength.

Fibreglass CFF is a good choice of filament for a wide range of applications, especially engineering and industrial applications, and due to its low cost compared to other filaments, it’s ideally suited to education environments. Fibreglass filament has proven itself to be a good all-rounder in Markforged tests because it shows good tensile, compressive, strain at break and heat deflection temperature characteristics.
