The EinScan Medixa is a wireless, all-in-one 3D body scanner designed specifically for orthotics and prosthetics applications. Combining 3D scanning, onboard processing and data export within a single portable device, it allows clinicians to capture detailed patient anatomy without requiring an external computer during scanning. Its contact-free digital workflow is designed to make body scanning cleaner, quicker and easier to integrate into modern O&P clinics.

Purpose-built for orthotic and prosthetic 3D scanning, the EinScan Medixa includes dedicated scan presets for the face, cranium, torso, upper and lower limbs, feet, sockets, seating and foam boxes. These pre-configured workflows help simplify setup for different applications, while adjustable scan parameters allow the scanner to be tailored to individual patients and custom device requirements.

Using a combination of white light and infrared VCSEL scanning technology, the EinScan Medixa captures detailed 3D geometry without making physical contact with the patient. Advanced movement compensation helps account for small movements during scanning, including breathing or movement when capturing areas such as the torso or an infant's head. A built-in 5 MP texture camera can also capture high-resolution surface information and markings made by clinicians, providing additional reference data within the digital model.

Designed to support a wide range of orthotics and prosthetics workflows, scan data can be exported in STL, OBJ and PLY formats for use with compatible CAD/CAM and O&P design software. This makes the EinScan Medixa suitable for applications including cranial remoulding orthoses, prosthetic sockets, spinal and scoliosis braces, upper-limb prosthetics, foot orthoses and custom insoles.

The standalone wireless design also makes the scanner easy to move between treatment rooms or use on-site. It runs from two replaceable 5500 mAh batteries, providing up to 3 hours of continuous scanning, while USB-C charging can be used during operation when longer workflows are required.
