Formlabs (Form 3) Dental Model Resin Cartridge V2 (1L)
New for 2017, Formlabs Dental Model Resin is a high-accuracy 3D printing material that has been specifically engineered for 3D printing crown and bridge models with dies.
The mechanical properties of Dental Model Resin are ISO 20795-2:2013 compliant.
Dental professionals can use Dental Model Resin to 3D print highly-detailed, highly-accurate fixed prosthetic models. Models printed with Dental Model Resin have a shelf-worthy appearance fresh from the print bed, with a matte finish and outstanding levels of detail.
Of course, a key consideration for dental professionals when it comes to 3D printing prosthetics is accuracy. With regards to this, Formlabs’ laboratory tests found that Dental Model Resin prints accurate margins and contacts within ± 35 microns. The full accuracy test was conducted by Dr Michael Scherer, and you can view the white paper here.
Cost-effective and scalable 3D printing has the potential to revolutionise dentistry. Dental Model Resin is the ideal material for printing prosthetic models. If you are looking for a biocompatible resin, then we recommend Dental SG or Dental LT Resin. These resins are suitable for 3D printing surgical drill guides and splints, among other devices.
Dental Model Resin is compatible with the Formlabs Form 2, Form 3 and Form 3L 3D printers.

Yes. You can reuse resin that is in your tank after a print, please do not return resin to the resin cartridge to avoid potential contamination. The Form 2 orange cover protects unused resin from ambient light.

Can I store unused resin in the resin tank?
Outside of the printer or resin cartridge, resin can be stored in the standard Resin Tank with the lid on for up to one month and in Resin Tank LT with the lid on for up to two months. Empty or use any excess resin before storing resin tanks for longer than this. Do not pour liquid resin back into the original container.
