Bambu Lab X1C and P1S - Activated Carbon Air Filter

During the printing process, melt extrusion printers tend to generate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) due to the higher heating temperatures required for materials like ABS, PC, PA, and others. This results in an increased emission of VOCs. Conversely, materials like PLA, which have lower melting points, produce significantly fewer VOCs during printing.

To reduce the impact of VOCs, use an activated carbon air filter, which effectively absorbs these compounds from the air.

Instructions

The X1-Carbon comes with a carbon filter which is used for filtering the air from the enclosure before it is expelled outside. Here's how you can replace it:

1. Remove the plastic cover

2. Gently pull on the carbon filter to remove it

3. Install the new carbon filter

4. Attach the plastic cover
