Bambu Lab Textured PEI Plate for X1 & P1 Series and A1
With enhanced manufacturing techniques for the Bambu Texture PEI Plate, you can achieve exceptional first-layer adhesion and improved overall durability.
PEI is an exceptional material suited for 3D printing applications, owing to its remarkable capacity to endure the recurrent heating and cooling cycles of a printer heat bed. Prints can be effortlessly removed once the heatbed reaches room temperature, and Bambu consistently advise waiting until it reaches 35℃ or below.
The Bambu Texture PEI Plate boasts a 0.5mm thick stainless steel plate, expertly engineered to provide enhanced magnetic adhesion. This feature serves to prevent warping issues and guarantee impeccable print quality throughout the 3D printing process, minimizing the risk of the initial layer detaching as a result of deformation. It is especially good when printing larger models and materials that are more prone to warping.
Bambu Texture PEI Plate provides a unique first-layer surface unlike any other. Utilizing a specialized powder-coating process, this PEI Build Plate generates a textured surface that imparts a distinct texture to your prints.
Please note both sides of the plate are textured.
Installation Steps

Step 1: Align the plate with the fixed points of the platform with the name of the plate facing you

Step 2: Lower the plate and secure to the magnetic platform
Considerations
- The Automatic Calibration for Flow Rate on Textured PEI Plate is not supported, and we don't recommend performing the Flow Calibration on it, to avoid print quality issues. The texture of the plate can interfere with the LIDAR calibration resulting in bad calibration results.
- First Layer Inspection is also not supported by the Textured PEI Plate, due to the texture of the print surface.
- The Automatic Calibration for Flow Rate is not recommended, as the LIDAR will have trouble correctly reading the print surface and the calibration can be affected
- Regularly clean the print surface with dish soap and hot water to eliminate any dust or grease residue, which might cause bad adhesion. IPA can also work, but the best solution to clean the plate is washing it, to ensure the best performance.
- Do not clean the Textured PEI with Acetone, as it will damage the PEI surface.
- Always wait for a few minutes before removing printed models to allow the plate to cool down for easy print removal. This prevents damage to the plate and ensures a long lifetime of the product.
- The Textured PEI plate is considered a consumable part, which will degrade over time. The warranty will only cover manufacturing defects, not cosmetic damage like scratches, dents, or cracks. Defective sheets upon arrival are the only ones covered by the warranty.
