Features

Excellent First-Layer Adhesion and Enhanced Durability
Thanks to an optimised manufacturing process, the Bambu Texture PEI Plate offers improved durability and significantly better first-layer adhesion. In most cases, there is no need to apply glue or adhesives.
*Note: Some speciality filaments may still require the use of glue for reliable adhesion.

Surface Finish

Surface Finish and Easy Print Removal
PEI is highly suitable for 3D printing due to its resistance to repeated heating and cooling cycles. Once the heatbed cools to room temperature (we recommend 35 °C or below), printed models detach naturally. If a model remains stuck, gently flex the steel plate and it will release effortlessly.

Compatible with a Wide Range of Filaments
The PEI surface supports both standard and high-temperature filaments. This includes materials like PLA, TPU, and PETG, as well as more demanding filaments such as ABS and Nylon.

Strong Magnetic Grip to Prevent Warping
The Bambu Texture PEI Plate features a 0.5 mm-thick stainless steel core, delivering reliable magnetic adhesion. This minimises the risk of first-layer detachment and helps prevent warping—especially useful when printing larger models or using warp-prone materials like ABS, PC, and Nylon.

Textured Surface Finish
Created using a specialised powder-coating process, the Textured PEI Plate delivers a unique surface texture. This gives your printed models a distinctive first-layer appearance with a rugged, tactile finish.

Important Usage Tips & Considerations

  • Adjust Heatbed Temperature for Better Adhesion:
A higher heatbed temperature can improve adhesion. Adjust the temperature as needed for your specific filament or model.

  • Clean the Plate Regularly:
Dust, oil, or grease can reduce adhesion. Clean the surface with mild detergent and water as part of regular maintenance.
Avoid cleaning with acetone, as it will damage the PEI surface.

  • Nozzle Wiping Area:
Before auto-levelling, the nozzle wipes on a dedicated area of the build plate to remove residue. Over time, this wiping zone may show wear—this is expected and does not affect print quality or nozzle life.

  • Use Only Approved Glue:
Bambu Lab recommends using only official Bambu Lab glue on its build plates. Use of third-party adhesives may damage the surface and will void warranty coverage for such damage.

  • Allow Cooling Before Removing Prints:
Wait a few minutes after printing for the plate to cool before removing your model. This helps prevent surface damage and prolongs the plate’s lifespan.

  • Restoring Adhesion:
If adhesion decreases over time, lightly sanding the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (600 grit is recommended) can help restore performance.

  • Firmware Improvements:
Recent firmware updates have enhanced compatibility and calibration of the Textured PEI Plate via Micro Lidar, supporting fully automatic calibration.

  • Warranty Information:
The Textured PEI Plate is considered a consumable item and will naturally wear over time. The warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not apply to cosmetic wear such as scratches, dents, or cracks. Only plates that arrive with defects are eligible for replacement.

Depending on your postcode your options at checkout will include DPD NEXT DAY, DPD 12:00 and DPD 10:30 options. Some postcodes will show "DPD TWO DAY".

Shipping to Ireland (Northern or Republic of) is a “DAP” service which means you have to pay any Duty and Taxes. Business customers must email us their EORI and UKIMS numbers.

PALLETS DON'T SHIP VIA DPD - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Some units can only be shipped safely on a pallet due to weight and/or size.  Cut off time for orders shipping by pallet is 1.30pm, that’s because we need to book the job before 2pm.

Pallets are big and they ship on big lorries!  If there is any problem with a dustbin-lorry size vehicle accessing your property, you need to let us know and we can request delivery by a smaller 7.5T lorry.  If this is the case, then PALLET NEXT DAY may not be available.

Depending on your postcode your options at checkout will include PALLET NEXT DAY, PALLET 2-3 DAYS, PALLET COLLECTION HG4 2RN (organise your own pick-up).  Some postcodes will show “PALLET 5-6 DAYS” etc.
Pallet deliveries are between 09.00 and 17.00 and we are unable to give you the ETA in advance.

We use a very reliable local supplier, and the pallets go in to the “Palletforce” network.  Currently the network don’t use tracking numbers and you can't track online (coming in 2026).  Call or email us to check on a delivery or collection.
