Bambu Lab AMS Pro 2 Switching Adapter

To dry filament across multiple AMS 2 Pro units at the same time, each AMS 2 Pro must be powered using an official Bambu Lab Switching Adapter.

When using the AMS 2 Pro with an X1, P1, or A1 series printer and enabling the filament drying function, each AMS 2 Pro requires its own Bambu Lab Switching Adapter for proper operation.

For H2D Printers:

1. Connecting a Single AMS 2 Pro

• A single AMS 2 Pro can be powered directly by the H2D printer. No additional Switching Adapter is needed.

2. Connecting Multiple AMS 2 Pro Units

• If you enable the drying function across multiple AMS 2 Pro units, each unit must be powered by a separate Switching Adapter.

• Even if only one unit is drying, power may be distributed across all units, resulting in reduced drying performance. For consistent and effective drying, it is recommended to use a Switching Adapter for each AMS 2 Pro.

For X1/P1 Series Printers:

1. When Using the Drying Function

• A Switching Adapter is required to ensure the AMS 2 Pro receives enough power for proper filament drying.

2. Connecting Multiple AMS 2 Pro Units

• If multiple AMS 2 Pro units are used with the drying function enabled, each unit must be powered with its own Switching Adapter.

3. Without the Drying Function

• If the drying feature is not enabled, you can use the AMS 2 Pro without a Switching Adapter.

Note:
The AMS 2 Pro is compatible with X1 and P1 series printers for multi-material printing. Filament drying support for these models will be added via an over-the-air (OTA) update by the end of April.
