AMT PostPro systems use a chemical polishing process that gives your parts a beautiful look while also improving color in many cases, sealing against water and air.


The PostPro SF100 vapor smoothing machine can process parts from many different additive manufacturing technologies, including Multi-Jet Fusion (MJF), selective laser sintering (SLS), and Fused filament fabrication (FFF).

AMT’s PostPro3D is a patented chemical vapor smoothing solution for post-processing thermoplastic 3D printed parts.


The PostPro SF100 is AMT’s next generation chemical vapor smoothing technology that sets new benchmark gold standards for the AM industry.


PostPro3D is a smart and automated post processing solution for thermoplastic polymer 3D Printed parts based on AMT’s proprietary BLAST process (Boundary Layer Automated Smoothing Technology).


PostPro3D achieves a surface finish that matches injection moulding techniques. This enabling technology reduces lead-time, cost of manufacture, operational and maintenance costs providing the ‘missing piece’ in the digital manufacturing chain.

    Yes, the equipment requires proper ventilation or exhaust systems in your facility.

  • What happens with the old, used vapor smoothing chemical?

    The used chemical is extracted into canisters that are swapped out for new canisters by AMT. The user is not responsible for disposing of the chemical.

  • Do users come in contact with chemicals?

    The PostPro SF100 and PostPro SF50 both use a closed-loop system so the user should never come into contact with the vapor smoothing chemical under normal operation.

  • How long is a cycle on these machines?

    Cycle times are 1 – 2 hours depending on the level of smoothness desired.
