Printing Tips for Bambu PLA Wood

Bambu PLA Wood offers unique characteristics due to the addition of natural wood powder. Follow these guidelines for the best results:

Higher Moisture Absorption
- PLA Wood is more sensitive to moisture because of its wood powder content. Dry the filament before use to maintain print quality and achieve a consistent finish.
Storage and Drying
- Although thoroughly dried and vacuum-sealed before shipping, transport conditions may affect moisture levels.
- Storage: Store in a sealed container with desiccant or AMS to protect against humidity.
- Drying: Dry the filament immediately after opening and repeat the process before long-term storage.
- Drying Guidelines:
  - Blast drying oven: 55 ± 5°C for 8 hours.
  - X1 chamber: 65–75°C for 12 hours.

Colour Variation
- Slight colour differences may occur due to natural wood powder and varying drying levels.
Wood-like Smell
- During printing, PLA Wood emits a mild, natural wood scent. This smell is non-toxic and non-irritating, adding to the authentic wood experience.
