Bambu Lab AMS First Stage Feeder
The AMS First Stage Feeder is a specialized component designed to enable the printing of multiple colors and materials using the AMS system.
Each AMS unit consists of four first stage feeders, each equipped with its own motor and gears. These components actively push the filament forward during printing or wind it back onto the spool as needed.
The first stage feeder incorporates a sensor that detects the presence of filament. When filament is inserted, the first stage feeder automatically pulls the filament into the system. Conversely, when filament needs to be rewound, the first stage feeder drives the AMS driving sleeve, causing the spool to rotate and wind the filament back onto the spool.
*In order to optimize product performance, Bambu Lab have upgraded the circuit board of the AMS first stage feeder. This upgrade will affect the AMS that used the earliest main board. Please confirm the version of your AMS main board on Bambu Lab Wiki before purchasing the first stage feeder.
