Essentium ESD Safe Materials

Essentium ESD Safe Materials
ESD, or electrostatic discharge, is the transfer of electric charge between two or more points of contact. ESD can damage components and electrical equipment with catastrophic consequences, and so it is common practice to use ESD-safe materials in components and products containing electronics.
Essentium’s ESD-safe filaments are tested and proven to provide ESD protection in demanding applications. They are industrially tested in various applications to make sure they are safe and perform as intended.
There are a variety of ESD-safe materials available which are part of Essentium’s ‘Z Collection’. These include Z PCTG, Z TPU 95A, Z TPU 80A, Z TPU 74D and Z HTN (high-temperature nylon). All these materials are non-marring and specially formulated to reduce latent failures in electronics. They are also relatively low friction and easy to print by most FDM / FFF 3D printers with an open filament system.
Whether you need a rubber-like ESD safe filament (Z TPU 80A) or a solid and robust material for housings (Z HTN), Essentium makes it.
