Ultimaker CPE Filament-Yellow
Ultimaker CPE is used to print strong, dimensionally stable functional prototypes. It is resistant to chemicals and extremely strong with good interlayer adhesion. It is also ideal for environmentally-sensitive and bio-contact applications, with low levels of UFPs (ultrafine particles) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
With a tensile stress at yield of 50 MPa and a tensile stress at break of 28 MPa, Ultimaker CPE is a very strong material. It has been formulated to be several times stronger than ABS, so that complex shapes can be created with excellent dimensional stability. CPE is particularly popular with product designers due to this. Another key reason for CPE’s widespread application is the fact that CPE is available in a wide range of colours, including grey scale and transparent, for professional-looking models.
Now, we regularly get asked what the difference between CPE and CPE+ is, by makers who are looking for a functional filament. The key difference between them is that Ultimaker CPE has a higher tensile and flexural strength than Ultimaker CPE+, while CPE+ has increased temperature and impact resistance. CPE is also available in a wide range of colours, while CPE+ is only available in black, white and transparent.
