Additive-X PLA-X3 Filament

Additive-X PLA-X3 is a high-performance thermoplastic with similar mechanical properties to ABS. It retains the fast print speeds offered by PLA but is stronger and more durable. This makes it a better choice for industrial applications.

Available in 1.75mm and 2.85mm sizes, Additive-X PLA-X3 is manufactured in Europe by our trusted partner. It can be printed by many 3D printers with an open (third-party) filament system. It prints at up to 120mm/s, which is comparable to PLA, and has negligible shrinking during the print process for consistent, repeatable performance.

PLA-X3 is biodegradable and doesn’t need a heated print bed to print, which makes it the ultimate alternative to ABS for printers without a heated print bed. Desirable characteristics include low warping, high-strength, and a smooth, semi-matte finish.

Our PLA-X3 filament is available in white, black, red, blue, and two shades of grey. The primary colours are super-bright and feature a continuous colour throughout. The grey filaments look classy with a professional finish suitable for concepts and modelling. They all print with a low sheen finish that’s identical to regular PLA. If you cannot find your desired colour available here, please contact us with your requirements.
