Essentium’s High-Speed Extrusion (HSE) 3D printing platform is designed for industrial applications where accuracy and speed go hand-in-hand.
There are three 3D printers in the range: the HSE 180-S LT, HSE 180-S and HSE 180-S HT which enable you to print low-temp, standard and high-temp materials. The HT model can print a number of engineering polymers like PEEK, PEKK and PESU.
The technology utilises a non-slip, high torque extrusion system and linear servo motors designed to smoothly move across more than one axis (in this case, the X and Y). There is also 3G acceleration and a 1 M/sec movement speed to eliminate wasted movement during the print process for the fastest possible print speed.
How fast? When printing low-temp materials, you can print at speeds greater than 500 m/s while maintaining exceptional print quality.
That is 5 to 15x faster than the traditional FDM/FFF process. Importantly, it results in no loss in final part quality or surface finish. In fact, the models and parts produced by Essentium 3D printers are among the highest we have witnessed.
All 3D printers in the HSE range boast a massive 740 x 510 x 650 mm build volume to enable small series production and rapid prototyping.
